2008 Randolph Labor Day Tournament

This year’s tournament will be held August 29th, 30th, & 31st

The Randolph Soccer Club and the Randolph Township Department of Parks and Recreation cordially invite U.S.S.F.-affiliated soccer teams with current U.S. Youth soccer player passes to participate in the annual Randolph Annual Labor Day Weekend Soccer (BLAST) Tournament sanctioned by The New Jersey State Youth Soccer Association. Teams may augment their rosters with a maximum of three guest players, which includes secondary carded players.

Randolph is located in North Central New Jersey and is easily accessible by major interstate highways. In its 25th year, the Labor Day tournament has traditionally drawn teams from Connecticut, Delaware, upstate New York, and Long Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia as well as throughout New Jersey.

The tournament will consist of approximately 110 teams (boys and girls combined) with multiple flights to allow for competitive play at all levels. Selection of teams will be based upon competitive level of play and geographic balance. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to flight teams to provide the best level of competition for all participating teams. At the direction of U.S. Youth Soccer and N.J. Youth Soccer, U10 and younger teams will not be allowed to "play up".

The tournament is scheduled to begin Friday evening, August 29th (limited games), Saturday August 30th and Sunday, August 31st.  The application deadline is August 1, 2008.  The tournament committee reserves the right to close flights as they become full.  The tournament will consist of the following age groups: U09 through U14.

Maximum roster size is 14 players for U09 & U10, and games will be played on small-sided fields. The maximum roster size is 18 players for U11 thru U14, and games will be played on full size fields.
