RE: 2008-2009 Team Notifications
 
Dear Parents,
 
The Randolph Soccer Club will be notifying players that have been selected to the 2008-2009 Travel Teams beginning the week of May 26, 2008.
 
While the timeframe differs from previous years, it is reflective of the current world in youth travel soccer. Many parents, including those in Randolph, have their children try-out for teams in multiple locations, where the norm is to notify and request acceptance in the 2-3 days immediately after tryouts. The fact we traditionally held our notification to the spring season’s conclusion was logical but, in this environment, not practical as we build teams for the following seasons.
 
Youth travel soccer has changed dramatically over the past decade. Clubs and their teams come and go – and some come back again! Through all of this, and thanks to you, the RSC thrives.  We fielded over 20 teams giving 300+ Randolph kids an opportunity to compete at a high level of competition.
 
Our program’s components attempts to build the right teams based on the talents of the players. To that end, we have agreement to include non-Randolph players to supplement those who show ability to compete and commit to soccer. We are capped against overall player participation with inclusion at the appropriate ages based on the soccer landscape.
 
Please understand youth soccer differs from the other sports (for now). No geographic boundaries exist, feeding the creation of private clubs; trainers; with the resultant recruitment of parents/ players to fill rosters and pay the freight. The other sports are headed this way too. Soccer just got there first as the template mirrored, right or wrong, an international club model.

     The Randolph Soccer Club Inc. is committed to the promotion of youth soccer by offering a challenging and educational program, which provides a level of training and competition commensurate with the ability and interest of the participants. The foundation of our program is the development of both individual and team skills while emphasizing good sportsmanship, athletic skills, leadership, character, teamwork, and team spirit.

2008 - 2009 Boys and Girls Travel Soccer Registration & Tryouts
On-line Pre-Registration for the 2008 - 2009 Travel Soccer Season is now open.  If you do not pre-register on-line, the fee for on-site registration is $10 per player payable in cash or check to Randolph Soccer Club.  If you plan on trying out for travel soccer, you DO NOT need to register on the Randolph Township recreation website. 
 
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED - ANYONE WHO HAS NOT PRE-REGISTERED MUST DO SO AT THE FIELD PRIOR TO TRYING OUT.
 
The Randolph Soccer Club will be holding  boys and girls travel soccer team tryouts for the Fall 2008/Spring 2009 season on the schedule shown below. In order for a player to be considered for a travel team, they must attend at least one tryout, however, you are strongly encouraged to attend both tryouts to improve your chances of making a team.  Players must wear soccer cleats and shin guards. No ball is needed.  In the event that a sufficient number of players do not pre-register for a specific age bracket, a team for that age group may not be organized. 
Monday 5/19
      U9 Boys              4:15 - 5:45 pm at Heisteins #2 (Note this is 15 minutes earlier than originally scheduled)
      U8 Boys              6:00 - 7:30 pm at Heisteins #5
      U11 Boys            6:00 - 7:30 pm at Heisteins #2
   
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.
